Pray 4 Matthew

Matthew’s Encouragement Page

This Page is dedicated to all those special people that have either dedicated a special prayer from their favorite bible verse, to authoring their own prayer that they  sent on behalf of Matthew, or even gave us a story of encouragement or thought that might help us understand better why we are having to deal with such a painful trauma that has affected so many people within our family or even outside our family. With that being said we would like to share these prayers/words of encourage with the rest of Matthew’s Supporters and we hope that you to may find some positive meaning like my family has.

Lord Jesus, we'd like to lift up  this precious child and ask that You reach down your Mighty Healing Hands and touch and heal  his brain and body  both physically and spiritually.

We pray that You give all your suffering children the strength and peace (above all understanding) to endure in the mist of their storm,  a measure of faith to know that You are the Healer & Doctor above all

healers and doctors.

And so,  Lord Jesus in honor of Your grace, which we know is sufficient, we just ask that  Matthew, family and friends, be patient and have faith to rest in Your healing hands.  You said ask and you shall received, Lord God as we pray for your healing, we know that it is done and  Lord, we thank and praise You, and give you all glory, honor and magnify your holy name by faith for answering this prayer and giving us yet another chance to pray and lift up our bothers and sisters, In Christ,  who are in need.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

This prayer was given to us by a special woman that I work with at Northrop Grumman by the name of Judy Huling. Our family used this prayer with the business cards that my brother-in-law had made for our family to spread the word out of Matthew’s need of love and support.

This was a Guest Book Entry from Charlie and Carol Wyble, Special people with a very blessed family who attend the church that Dawnise and the kids go to.

Another Guest Book Entry from Amy Shatto, She is another member of the church that Dawnise and the kids attend.

This was a guest book entry from Andrea Sforzini, her husband Brent, who is currently serving in the Armed forces (United States Navy), is also Dawnise’s cousin.

You hear me speak with your Mommy's voice, but that's Ok as I also speak from a Mommy's heart. I want to tell you again and again: You are so important! You are so loved! You are so needed. You are important because there is no one else like you in this world. Your Mom and Dad ballooned with happiness simply because you were born.

You are so loved because each day you remind them of that happiness. You are so needed because each and every day you carry that seed of happiness to them.

You are safe. Feel safe, we are here for you. Heal while Mommy and daddy watch over you. Wake when you can. A smile and a big hug are waiting for you. Always. Love, a Mom

This beautiful Poem comes from a mother by the name of Colleen Mitchell, in witch describes the special power that mother has over her sleeping child.

I just wanted to write and assure you that miracles do happen.  You may have read my posts this past spring when my husband was in ICU and not expected to live.  The thing I remember most (and I was pretty out of it) is that when I got e-mails or calls from people who told me they were praying I just KNEW it was helping.  At least it is helping me to have the strength and courage that I needed.   And in the end, after five months in the hospital, my husband came home and is almost fully recovered.

I know that your experience is very different.  I can't even imagine the pain of watching my child go through something like this, a spouse was hard enough, but a child... I'm crying again as I write this.  But there are miracles for you as well.  You have probably experienced them already--the love of family, the strength to be there for your other children, people who have offered to do little things for you when you just can't do it yourself.  Know that you will be in my prayers, I will lift Matty and your family up in worship at my church, and ask those in my family to pray for you as well.  May God bring you the miracles that you and Matty need.

                                            Blessings and peace.

Kay Barre e-mailed this to us from Dawnise’s Homeschoolers  group. Her husband just came home after being in the hospital for 5 months.

DEAR LITTLE MATTHEW,

WHEN I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD MY PARENTS GAVE A VERY

SWEET BOOK ABOUT JESUS AND HOW HE LOVES US.  I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE SOME OF THE STORIES IN MY LITTLE BOOK WITH YOU.  YOUR PARENTS OR MAYBE EVEN YOUR BIG BROTHER CAN READ THIS MESSAGE I AM SENDING TONIGHT.  I WILL BE SENDING YOU OTHERS AS TIME GOES BY.

THAT SWEET STORY OF OLD

"I THINK WHEN I READ

THAT SWEET STORY OF OLD,

WHEN JESUS WAS HERE AMONG MEN

HOW HE CALLED LITTLE CHILDREN

AS LAMBS TO HIS FOLD,

I SHOULD LIKE TO HAVE BEEN WITH HIM THEN.

"I WISH THAT HIS HANDS

HAD BEEN PLACED ON MY HEAD;

THAT HIS ARMS HAD BEEN THROWN

AROUND ME,

AND THAT I MIGHT HAVE SEEN

HIS KIND LOOK WHEN HE SAID

'LET THE LITTLE ONES COME UNTO ME.' "

                               JEMIMA LUKE

SWEET BABY, GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH, AND WE KNOW HIS ARMS ARE AROUND YOU AND HIS HANDS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON YOUR HEAD.

YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS, AND I HAVE ASKED MANY OTHERS TO PRAY FOR YOU AND YOUR MOM AND DAD, YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER, YOU GRAND PARENTS, YOUR GREAT GRAND

PARENTS AND YOUR AUNTS AND UNCLES AND COUSINS.    GET

WELL SOON, SWEETIE.

LARS IS ALSO PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU.    HE MISSED YOU

TODAY WHEN HE WENT OVER TO YOUR HOUSE TO PICK UP THE NEWSLETTER YOUR DAD HAD PREPARED.  HE LOVED SEEING YOU ALL WHEN MADE THAT RUN EVERY MONTH.

LOVE YOU....GOD BLESS YOU.

Betty and Lars Heske have been friends of Dawnise’s family for many years, Betty sent this e-mail to Matthew’s e-mail address after her husband Lars picked up the Newsletter I prepared for the Norrana Lodge in witch my family are members of. I was touched by his admission that he missed being  harassed (or sometimes he being the harasser) by all 3 of our kids.

Matty,

Yesterday at sunset

Yet too early for the moon

Away off there

I heard a dove

Say "Get Well, Get Well Soon"!

Maybe I imagined

And my mind has played a game

But when the moon

Rose in the trees

The dove called out your name.

Get Well Soon Matty!

I come to You in Jesus name and give Matthew
to You. I'm convinced that You alone
know what is best for him. You alone know
what he needs. I release him to You
to care for and protect, and I commit myself to
pray for everything concerning him that I
can think of or that You put upon my heart.
Teach me how to pray and guide me in what to
pray about. Help me not to impose my own will
when I'm praying for him, but rather
enable me to pray that Your will be done in
his life.

Thank You, Lord, for the precious gift of this
child. Because Your Word says that every good
gift comes from You, I know that You have
given him to his parents to care for and raise. Help
them do that. Show them places where they continue
to hang on to him and enable them to release
him to Your protection, guidance, and
counsel. Help them not to live in fear of possible
dangers, but in the joy and peace of knowing
that You are in control. I rely on You for
everything, and this day I trust Matthew to You
and release him into Your hands.

Jesus Loves You, Matthew.

Father in Heaven - please be with Matthew and his parents.  Father, you are the great I AM. all things are possible with you....what has happened to Matthew doesn't take you off guard because you know everything before it happens.  I know that your hand is not too short and your word tells us that where two or more call upon your name, you will hear us and answer our prayer.  Lord, I pray that your kingdom will come and your will be done in Matthews life.  Give his parents peace and trust in you.  Use this situation for your Glory Lord.

Father, you are our healer and we just life Matthew up to you now and ask for a miracle in his life.  Thank you Lord for all your blessings..

amen.

"Dear Lord, we're still hoping we'll wake up.  We're still hoping we'll open a sleepy eye and think, What a horrible dream.  But we won't, will we, Father?  When we got the news that little Matthew Keller was in a coma due to an accident, we could not believe it.  It was no dream and, dear Father, we are sad.  And so we come to You.  We don't ask You for help; we beg You for it.  We don't request it; we implore it.  We know what You can do.  We've read the accounts.  We've pondered the stories and now we plead, "Do it again, Lord.  Do it again."

Remember Joseph?  You rescued him from the pit.  You can do the same for us.  Do it again, Lord.  Remember the Hebrews in Egypt?  You protected their children from the angel of death.  We have children, too, Lord.  Do it again.  And Sarah?  Remember her prayers?  You heard them.  Joshua?  Remember his fears?  You inspired him.  The women at the tomb?  You resurrected their hope.  The doubts of Thomas?  You took them away.  Do it again, Lord.  Do it again.

You changed Daniel from a captive into a king's counselor.  You took Peter the fisherman and made him Peter an apostle.  Because of You, David went from leading sheep to leading armies.  Do it again, Lord, for we need You today, Lord.  We need witnesses to Your power.  We need leaders of love to serve You.  Do it again, dear Lord.

Most of all, do again what You did on the cross.  You did not waver, O Lord, You did not complain.  After three days in a dark hole, You rolled the rock and rumbled the earth and turned the darkest Friday into the brightest Sunday.  Do it again, Lord.  Grant us a September Easter.

We thank You, dear Father, for these this unity in prayer.  The Enemy sought to bring us to our knees and succeeded.  He had no idea, however, that we would kneel before You.  And he has no idea what you can do.  Do it again, Lord!

Let Your mercy be upon Matthew Keller and his family, and all families that are in need of your special care and healing.  Give us grace that we might believe.  And look kindly upon the Calvary congregation.  For two thousand years You've used Your power to heal a hurting world.  Do it again, Lord.  Do it again."

Let the congregation say, "Amen!"

This was originally put into the “Calvary Caller” by Pastor Bill of Calvary Lutheran Church. Pastor Bill has been responsible for marrying me and Dawnise and Baptizing all 3 of our children. Since he first heard of the accident he has been making regular visits to Matthew and giving comfort and prayer to Matthew’s Family.

Matthew’s Webpage Selections

Our youngest is also 13 months old, we also have a 14 1/2 year old we almost lost at 3 months of age, she went through several things Matthew is going through, perhaps that is one reason this hits so close to home. Please know we care, we met you all through OCS, Dawnise not sure if you know who we are, hoping you do? I read today's update after web had been down, Sean, you mentioned you were giving blood if needed, do you know if more will be needed, if so please feel free to e-mail us, if we could help in any way such as that.
Today we took 8 or our 12 blessings to Balboa Lake, Yes Matthew was on my heart even there, so before eating we lifted him in prayer. I am wondering if you could share with Matthew about the many, many geese and ducks we saw, it was very HOT, we saw little fishes in the stream we call the "River Water", it sounded so pretty to go back a bit further and just hear the water trickle, trickle and flow, plop, plop.
The geese were loud with their honking and the ducks did their sounds quack quack. There were other pretty birds, some you could only see the blue on their backs when the sun shone down, one I think our other daughter said were "herrings" sitting out in the water. Squirrels were in the trees, Matthew I think you too, would have enjoyed doing the honk honk with the geese and the quack quack with the ducks too!

Little Matthew-
I remember seeing you in your stroller before the Jesus Loves You party at ONC last year... I've been praying for you ever since, and now I'm praying for you even more. God's right beside you. I pray He will give you the strength you need (and give your family the strength they need).

To the Keller family--
Ever since Pastor Bob announced in uTH group that little Matthew needed prayer I've been praying hard for his health, but I've also been praying very hard for you, that God will give you the strength you need to get through this. He is with you every day and He knows exactly how you feel and what you're going through. No matter how big the mountain is, God can bring it down, and no matter how big the storm is God can calm it. Stay strong. Osborne Neighborhood Church is praying for you (but I'm sure you knew that already).

Aloha Precious Matthew,
May God continue to bless our family with strength, an abundant amount of love, and wisdom to understand his plan.
We pray that God will heal your precious body. We love you so much Matthew, to see you smile and cuddle one more time would be an absolute blessing.
We hope someday you and your cousin baby Nicholas can play together...again.
Many Hugs and Kisses

Dear Matthew,
God formed your little body and He knows better than anyone how to make it well. He is holding you in the palm of his hand and whispering in your ear. You are a very special boy with a very special purpose. Many will call Jesus, "Lord", because of your special life. We have friends all over the country lifting prayers for you (Idaho, Kentucky, Texas, Michigan, the whole state of California). My kids say special prayers for you at every meal and at bedtime. God has already performed miracles in your life and we are waiting patiently to see even more. We love you and your family!!
